​Our Purpose Is To Protect & Build

Welcome to Black Men United of Omaha.  We are a grassroots organization that does advocacy (protects) and economic development (builds) work that focuses on Black men of all ages in the Omaha community.  

Black Men United is dedicated to supporting the growth and development of black men, their families and the communities where they live, work and play. One of our programs,  Real Men Read provide opportunities for men to be role models by reading to children in local elementary schools.  

Our Intro To The Trades and our Urban Pre-Vocational Training Program support hard to employ men and women in the Omaha metro community. This program helps prepare individuals for living wage jobs.  In addition, we routinely hold classes on leadership and small business training. 

Black Men United seeks members, volunteers, donors and participants in our grassroots activities, advocacy work and as participants in our classes and programs.  We encourage people of all races to get involved.  Like Gandhi said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world".  Join us as we build the Omaha metro community by supporting black men and men and women of all colors and of all ages, as well as the communities where they live, work and play.
