Black Men United Leadership
President & Founder
Willie Hamilton, President and Founder of Black Men United, is a true grassroots leader in Omaha. Concerned about violence and other challenges in the Black community and wanting to create a better environment for his children he started Black Men United as a small grassroots organization dedicated to empowering and improving the community.
What started as a passion, quickly grew into an organization with dedicated volunteers and a strong focus on advocacy to create better policies around policing and other community issues and supporting young Black children. Unafraid of tackling tough issues and willing to buck traditional local leadership, Willie quickly gained a reputation as someone that would speak for those who couldn't or were to afraid to speak for themselves.
Through his leadership, Black Men United has received awards for advocacy and leadership and has garnered national attention and created a national network. His show Real Talk is one of the highest rated shows on Cox Cable channel 22 and brings information, insight and awareness on important issues to the community.
