As we look ahead to this holiday season 2023, we are mindful that there are many of our neighbors and friends who are much less fortunate than we are. Black Men United serves 800 to 1000 households each month from our food pantry. The need is great and it has continued to grow over the last 3 years. In 2022 nationwide 49 million people visited a food bank or a food pantry in order to have a Thanksgiving meal. In keeping with that, Black Men United will again be holding a food drive and we invite you to participate. We will be having our 3rd Annual Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Food Pantry Monday November 20, 2023, 11am-1pm. Between October 1st and November 1st please bring a turkey and/or non-perishable items such as boxed stuffing, canned cranberries, potatoes or instant potatoes, canned gravy or gravy packets, corn bread mix, canned green beans and corn, cream of mushroom soup, dried French onions, chicken broth and dinner rolls that will make a Thanksgiving dinner possible for someone or a family who otherwise will not have one. You can bring them to Black Men United's Food Pantry 9am to 4pm Monday thru Friday 4200 N. 30th Street. Directly across the street from the Auto Zone. There you will find friendly staff to help you, who are thankful for your donation. If you are unable to donate food items, feel free to make a cash donation below by clicking on the DONATE button. All donations are tax deductibe as Black Men United is a 501c3 Non Profit organization. Thank you in advance for your generosity. I'm sure that the people who receive our donations will be extremely grateful.
