Welcome to Black Men United of Omaha. We are a grassroots organization that does advocacy (protects) and economic development (builds) work that focuses on Black men of all ages in the Omaha community.
Black Men United is dedicated to supporting the growth and development of black men, their families and the communities where they live, work and play. One of our programs, Real Men Read provide opportunities for men to be role models by reading to children in local elementary schools.
Our Intro To The Trades support hard to employ men and women in the Omaha metro community. This program helps prepare individuals for living wage jobs. In addition, we routinely hold classes on leadership and small business training.
Our ReEntry Resource Center offers services to formerly incarcerated men and women and those with challenging backgrounds. Supporting reentry efforts, building a safer community and strengthening families through successful reintegration into your families and the community. .

Black Men United was formed in February 2003 to foster black male achievement, enhance the performance of existing organizations by providing a space, a think tank, where representatives of organizations within the black community can share their missions, ideals, actions and events.
